Shinichi Osawa also known as Mondo Grosso is a huge star back in Tokyo and within the last 12 months his remix work for the likes of Felix Da Housecat, Digitalism and a cover of Star Guitar (Chemical Brothers) has firmly placed him on the global music landscape. Osawa describes himself as “Musical Multi Personality” and when you start delving into his 15 year back catalogue, you can see that he is not wrong with 6 albums already under his belt. However it was the release of his fifth album – Next Wave (2003) and his recent remix work that has propelled Shinichi to super stardom both home and abroad. Shinichi Osawa’s brash and energetic sound comprises everything that is good about dance music at the moment, which is variety, ranging from tough dirty beats to progressive type breakdowns and hands in the air tunes.
