Somehow managed to miss this one when it was posted a few weeks back, however on the strength of the lead track ‘Speedway’ its simply not possible to ignore any longer. Velour is a collaborative effort between the unstoppable Julio Bashmore and a fellow Bristol producer Hyetal, you may remember their 2010 ‘Nightslugs’ release ‘Velvet Collection‘. Unlike Velvet collection this is a touch less underground, employing what can only be described as 80’s power chords. If you imagine Maxxi Soundsystem V’s Patti LaBelle with a Beastie Boys drum track and you’ll have an idea of what we are getting at. Purchase and press play if your party is lacking a little pzazz.
