The MSTRKRFT remix of “Love in This Club” was an electro hip-hop slab of cheddar (whats happened to them recently?) and suggested that this recent melding of hip-hop and electro is probably a fad that’ll die in a couple of months.
The song’s cheesey lyrics probably make it unworkable into a real club banger, but Canadian producer Sta has done a good job. It’s not quite touching the dizzy heights of his previous Timberland remix of “Give it to Me” which is still one of our favourite warm-up tracks.
