Mosca first captured the imagination with his superb ‘Gold Bricks, I See You‘ in 2010 before firmly establishing his production credentials with last years other crossover hit, Bax, the other obviously being Julio Bashmore’s – Battle for Middle You. ‘Bax‘ like ‘Battle for Middle You’ has propelled the artist from respected to essential in a few short months, with them both now sporting their own shows on Radio 1.

The following clip is taken from Mosca’s forthcoming release on Hypercolour and unlike his recently contrasting techno release on 3024 ‘Eva Mendes’ is very much Bax part 2. This perhaps demonstrates a lack of originality or it shows an artist who understands that consistency is not always a bad thing, either way it takes the Bax template strips it back leaving just enough flava to ensure a good rinsing on release.

Update via , Fact Mag it emerges that the two other tracks on the Eva Mendes EP are ‘Murderous’, featuring vocals from Ben Westbeech (a.k.a. Breach), and ‘Accidentally’, a collaboration with legendary house vocalist Robert Owens.
