It would appear Julio Bashmore knows what he’s doing, first he alerted the electronic scene to his prescence with the unavoidable Battle For Middle You, before kicking it in its nether regions with the chart topping ‘Au Seve‘. Some purists out there will no doubt have dismissed Au Seve as being too overtly commercial, however having witnessed it being played by Claude VonStroke to a baying crowd of 20,000 plus europeans at EXIT Festival this sentiment is just chin stroking nonsense. However despite Au Seve’s obvious qualities it does have a down side, how to follow it….Once again it would appear Julio Bashmore knows the answer, enlist the services of a well respected and trusted underground pioneer, in this case Maddslinky aka Zed Bias.
Compuhonic is due to drop on the 9th of September, and whilst its unlikely to carry quite the same level of cross over appeal that saw Au Seve peaking at No.5 in the Beatport download chart, it is by no means an inferior follow up. Highly Recommended.
