Stepping back in time today, first Breakbot and now we have Golden Bug funking us up with his latest EP Magia Potagia on Gomma Recordings. As you would expect from Golden Bug it’s pure dancefloor funk and groove backed by a driving House beat. For us the standout moments are ‘U Are Magic’ and ‘Tekila’, although Tekila would have perhaps benefitted from the key vocal refrain being dropped in favour of something a little less cheesy, unfortunately for me that word always reminds me of Terrorvision’s – Tequila….
