FaltyDL aka Drew Lustman of New York has been impressing for the last few years with his innovative and imaginative take on electronic music releasing tracks across a variety of labels such as Planet-Mu, Swamp81, Ninja Tune, and Ramp Recordings. Unlike many narrowly focused electronic artists Falty DL’s music doesnt confine itself to a chosen genre but rather draws strength from the pioneering sounds of those before and around him. His music typically demonstrates a passion and deep understanding of Hip Hop type sampling, Kraftwerk synth construction and modern day bass and rhythm.
His first two albums ‘Love is a Liability‘ and ‘You Stand Uncertain‘ were both outstanding pieces of work, not to mention the various interim singles remixes and EPs such as ‘Make It Difficult‘, ‘Phreqaflex‘ and the ‘Bravery EP‘, and now it would appear he is preparing a third full length LP. Unfortunately we cant offer any profound insights into the new record other than his recent Soundcloud hint “1 Vibe off the forthcoming LP”.
