If you dont already know the enigmatic Daphni is actually everyone’s favourite Canadian after Bryan Adams, Caribou. First appearing last year with the still massive Ye Ye on Four Tets ‘Text Records’ Daphni aka Caribou went on to set the bench mark for imaginative club friendly electronic music with his second single Ne Yoya / Yes I Know EP, and now he is back on his Jiaolong imprint with two high energy remixes of Emeralds – ‘Does It Look Like Im Here’.
Taking the originals core instrumental structure Snaith lays in a club friendly drum track and cleans up the mix to give the track a much crisper dance floor focus. Due to be released at some point in March and most likely on limited vinyl. Highly recommended.
