We are approaching our 5th Birthday (May 12th) and as part of those celebrations we have a whole host of things planned among which is dropping perhaps our most eargley anticipated ‘Blah Blah Blah Records‘ release to date: ‘Blacksmif – Hoop Dreams / Microweight’.
Blacksmifs debut 12″ ‘And the Sun Rose Out EP’ caused quite a stir earlier this year with Mixmag voting it’s ‘Mandy’ track 5th in their monthly ‘Big Tunes’ feature, along with luminaries such as Mary Anne Hobbs and Gilles Peterson hammering it on their respective radio shows. Hoop Dreams / Microweight has simarily got people in a bit of a frenzy with a host of resepected names (see below) giving it a big thumbs up. BBB004 drops May 21st, and as part of our ‘WeAre5’ celebrations we will be releasing a very limited 12″ run of the single alongside the usual Digital options.
Selected Feedback – Thanks to everyone who listened and is supporting Blacksmif’s music, the feedback has been incredible and we apologise for not being able to mention you all on this post, probably listed too many already.
