When the sun comes out there is nothing better than a seafront view and some summery beats to accompany it. With that in mind we have decided to make todays recommendation a fresh slice of Disco House. Not a genre we would normally listen to, however the artwork lured us in, and rewarded us with Retrogott – In Ya Hands, taken from the Funky Beats And A Supersonic Turbojet EP, great title. As you have most likely anticipated from the intro this is not the sort of record that will win you hipster cool points with your mates! That said its not generic disco fluff either, or as we like to call it Decaf House. Retrogott – In Ya Hands certainly has the classic disco strings and obligatory motivational vocal hook, however beneath those signature sounds is a groove that means serious business. Sort of cyclical toe tapper that many a 2000’s French House producer would have killed for.

Dig out those speedos, its time to hit the beach and drink over priced cocktails, whilst we in the UK collectively pretend 15°c is actually sunbathable weather…
