Laura Jones – ‘Love In Me’ was originally released in June of this year on ‘Leftroom‘ and while it had obvious addictive qualities we couldn’t help but feel that the main riff and its surroundings were a touch too mainstream for our personal taste. Not that it was a bad track it just needed slightly tougher surroundings to give it more punch. It would appear that Leftroom also identified this, responding with a 3-track remix package (out now). Our pick is Eats Everything’s rework that stays faithful to the tracks core whilst toughening up the edges. Maceo Plex’s remix dispenses with the main hook and gives the track a stripped back 80’s tinged sound, think Scuba’s Everywhere, and for those that love the original Kate Simko takes the main hook and fleshes things it out with a techy tribal sound.
