Hot Since 82 – ‘Make Up’ is very much the sort of record you could imagine being spun in an epic club space. Big sounds, heavy drums, epic breakdown and enough melody to get those hands in the air. All of which could suggest its nothing more then generic club cannon fodder – not the case.

‘Make Up’ has its own personality, by which I mean Hot Since 82 doesn’t sound like he’s being overly intentional or contrived. Yes its big room, but its distinctive and memorable in a good way. We can see DJs underground, commercial, wedding – ok maybe not wedding, playing this record. We love it.
