Classic Breakbeat: Plump DJs – Dr Dub. Another classic dance record from the Blah Blah Blah archives that gets regularly dusted off and played out. We have it on vinyl and until recently felt very special about this as it wasn’t available to stream. However you can now save yourself a discogs splurge and stream to your heart’s content.

Breakbeat has seen a bit of a resurgence recently, yet despite this renewed interest it doesn’t quite have the hype of the early 2000’s when the likes of Plump DJs, Stanton Warriors, Krafty Kuts and Freestylers blasted their way into clubs across the globe. In particular our hometown Brighton had a booming breakbeat scene with a midweek night not to be missed ‘Supercharged’ at the ‘Escape Club’ now known as ‘Patterns’. A night that definitely inspired us to start our own parties.
