Need a DJ intro? ‘Daphni – Poly’ Depending on the type of DJ you are will dictate as to whether an intro track is really relevant or not. In some instances it's nice to announce your arrival, other times the situation requires you to maintain what the proceeding DJ has built. Daphni - Poly is very much in that - 'hey take notice, I'm about start playing'. As I am sure you're all aware, Daphni is Caribou as much as Caribou is Dan Snaith. Some years back Mr Snaith announced his designs on club culture with his debut Daphni record 'Jialong'. A record that on reflection feels like a more complete album than this years follow ... Mixtape NYC Style: Kim Ann Foxman – The Lot Radio Do you find that mixtapes all too often flatter to deceive? Their either chock full of obvious bangers, or the DJ is trying to be so clever that their track selection lacks flow, or, and worst of all, it's just plain boring. This is so often the case that most days we simply can't be bothered. Which is a shame as mixtapes were what got us into dance music in the first place. That said, like all the best new music discoveries, we occasionally stumble across something a bit special. Previous such discoveries include Bicep - Synthol Hit, Joris Voorn - Balance 014, Todd Terje - Essential Mix, DJ ... Read more / Preview track

Percussive Sunsetting House: LNS & DJ Sotofett – Jugando Con Fuego Did you love DJ Sotofett's epic slow burning 'Current 82'? Then his 11 minute LNS & DJ Sotofett - Jugando Con Fuego collaboration is the perfect companion piece. DJ Sotofett propelled himself into our affections with his gloriously sprawling slow burner 'Current 82'. A record that harked back to the glory days of mid-90s prog house, with its moody pads, languid drums and considered main hook. No hype, no fanfare just gorgeous Boards of Canada type depth and poise. Jugando Con Fuego clocks in at just under 12 minutes and like a considered lover is in no hurry to hit climax. That said ... BBB Playlist: ‘Indie Dance cracker’ Beck – Up All Night Another indie dance infused jam from the mighty Beck. Following up the cracking 'Dreams' and 'Wow' Beck is once again demonstrating his versatility and uncanny ear for a killer hook. Beck - Up All Night. You may remember a few years back that Kanye West took major offence to Beck winning the 2015 Grammy for 'Best Album'. An award that Kanye, in his infinite wisdom, thought should have gone to Beyonce. The rantings of a man who evidently knew very little about Beck and his supreme talent, talent that is once again on show here with 'Up All Night'. Like Kanye, Beck is highly experimental, ...
