Kodiak is not an artist we or anyone else seems to know much about, other than they are a London duo who make brazen main room bass music. However as good as this debut offering is, it’s the remixes from Actress and Girl Unit that steal the show.
First up Actress draws the track back within itself employing a delicate piano riff to backdrop the vocal with emotional 80′s synth nostalgia before laying all thoughts of melancholy to waste with a buzzing front of centre synth line. Next up see’s the welcome return of Girl Unit with his high energy take on the original. Maintaining the main hook Girl Unit beefs up the tracks energy with exquisitely crisp percussion and a less intense wall of sound, giving the separate elements of the track more of their own space to impact the listener.
Another slick release on Numbers with two great remixes backing a strong debut.

Claude VonStroke remixes Girl Units epic ‘Wut‘ to great effect, adding a nice sub bass platform that is less obvious than the original but creates a nice epic effect alongside the panning synth effects and 808 clicks. If you listen to this through just your laptop speakers you’ll miss what im talking about.
