Erol Alkan – Illumination EP (Phantasy) Preview + Pre-Order Erol for us is a bit of a father figure, like us he started out as as a promoter / DJ with quality music at the core of everything he did. Trash his legendary Monday night at 'The End', for us, rendered many a Tuesday inoperable, with fond recollections of getting the 6am train back home, with a 20 minute turnaround before heading to my less than motivating 22 grand job in the city. It also should be noted that Trash inspired us to launch BBB in 2007. As the electro scene took hold of the UK in 05-07, Erol quickly established himself as the go to man for all things shoved under the banner ... Read more / Preview track

Boys Noize “Ich R U” (Justice Remix) Seems strange to be posting an Electro type track, probably been almost 3 years since something like this has really caught our interest. But when you get Boys Noize and Justice on the same release it's a bit like an old flame getting in contact and stirring up long forgotten fond memories. For us the new Boys Noize material has been a bit too Skrillex in sound, where as this remix is very much Justice doing their best Daft Punk Tron impression. To further enhance this package Alex Ridha informs us that another act we hold very close to our hearts the 'Chemical Brothers' are also on this ... Read more / Preview track

Boy 8-Bit – We Move By Night EP (Blood Music) For those of you who were with us in 2007 and havent since sacrificed clubbing in favour of responsibility will know that we have always admired the work of messers Fake Blood and Boy 8-Bit. However it has to be said that in the last couple of years we havent been playing much of their music as it hasnt had the panache of previous work, I guess partly due to the electro scene shrinking in popularity and old themes sounding a little tired, and therefore it was with equal measures of hope and trepidation that we downloaded the latest Boy 8-Bit release via Fake Blood's 'Blood Music' imprint. ... G. Vump – ‘Feeling’ (Jon Convex Re-Vump) Free Download Brodinski like many electronic artists has a few aliases kicking about, Gucci Vump or as it is now known G. Vump first surfaced in 2009 on Sound Pelegrino with the very Eastern sounding 'Sha Shit / Boogieman EP'. Thankfully the change of name has also coincided with a fairly seismic shift in musical direction with Brodinski dispensing with the eastern flavours for a more straight up techno-electro sound for the western palette. The first release under the newly tweaked G. Vump is oddly titled Bromance #2, as in the second release on his Bromance label. At first there was no love lost ... Read more / Preview track

Daniel Avery (Stopmakingme) – Airstrike Daniel Avery also known as Stopmakingme is a young man who has been on a mission to conquer the electronic scene ever since those early days spinning records in his native Bournemouth. Since then he has based himself in London and firmly established himself as one of the Capitals most consistent residents with long-term residences for both Fabric and Bugged Out. An Avery set is always a finely judged blend of disparate themes taking in influences from his encyclopedic knowledge of all things electronic. Its this almost obsessive desire to harness every bit of music he comes into contact with ... Read more / Preview track

Jacques Lu Cont – Church Stuart Price aka Thin White Duke aka Les Rythmes Digitales made a shock return to the decks and the studio last year with perhaps his most iconic and revered alias of them all 'Jacques Lu Cont'. In recent years Stuart Price has been content to produce other artist’s music with the likes of Madonna and the Killers employing his services, and whilst highly commendable it did deprive the clubbing circuit of one if its more pivotal members. Hands up if you remember and still cherish his Fabriclive 09 mix.....putting my hands down now so I can continue typing. The new single Church ... Read more / Preview track

Electronic Artist of the Week #14 – Bowski Truth be told we thought we had already featured Bowski in our Electronic Artist series, but it would appear not. Which is no bad thing as he had a little break whilst completing his degree and now he's back with some frighteningly good new material. Bowski first caught our attention over a year ago with his bouncing Legging / Talkbox single and his XY - Me remix. Since then he's remixed Cassius, Disco of Doom to great effect and recorded one or two mixtapes. Plus he is from the Holy Grail of music 'Bristol'. Some of Bowski's new material has a deep contemplative quality, perhaps ... Read more / Preview track
