Counter Culture & Pelski presents Jackmode Counter Culture 99 Days of Music & The Arts is now in full swing and this weekend they have teamed up with the mighty "You Can Call Me Pelski". Loop Late with Blah Blah Blah – Pictures Loop invited us to host their official Loop afterparty, we jumped at the chance to get involved. Not only was it one of the best parties we've been involved in, but it was also one of the best parties Brighton has seen this year. Queues swelled along the seafront and we were bursting at capacity after only an hour of being open. The music for the night ranged from electro-funk of Transformer, to the space disco of Shit Robot, to Nathan Fakes brand of melodic techno, with Andrew Weatherall finishng the night with a terrific techno set. Ratatat at Blah Blah Blah Review Downstairs at Audio was a sell out for the latest offering from DJs-come-club night-come-gig promoters Blah Blah Blah. The draw for punters at this busy Friday night gig? Brooklyn-based hip-hop influenced electronic duo Ratatat are in town, even if producer Evan Mast and guitarist Mike Stroud actually consider themselves a punk band. XYZ Magazine Review of The Presets @ Blah Blah Blah When did the Aussies get so damn good at electronic music? France may have Daft Punk and Justice but snapping at their heels come great acts from the land down under.
