Mathew Jonson Fabric 84 – Bespoke or Tesco Express? You've probably read plenty of blurb about how this was recorded 'Live' during Fabric's 15th Birthday, that it was the highlight of the party etc etc, which is all relevant information but when everyone is just repeating the same thing its a little uninspiring, what we really want to know is this a mix worth investing 1hr 14mins of our time. Now if you are a Mathew Jonson fan you're probably reading this having already purchased the LP and are just reassuring yourself that your initial assessment of its greatness is correct. Need some records for the weekend? STL & Man Power [New Music] No grand statements today, just a couple of records that have caught our ears. First up 'STL - Mind Puzzlin' . Mind Puzzlin is a bit of a misnomer when it comes to the tracks classification. The music is far from puzzling in fact it is simplicity personified, analog drum machine beats build in traditional fashion whilst a 2 bar synth loop provides the main focus, whilst a simple bassline rolls beneath. Mind Puzzlin is not going to win any awards for compositional ingenuity but if you are looking for a quality slab of raw house to warm the crowd with, look no further. Second on our list today ... Music is Average…most of the time? Does anyone else feel that too many reviewers give albums 4/5 or 8/10 yet 8/10 of those albums dont live up to the reviewers billing? Why is this? Dutch Uncles – Decided Knowledge (New Music) Is it dangerous for an artist or listener to pigeonhole themselves in just the one genre? you only have to look at David Guetta's recent unveiling of his next record 'Your Happy and You Know It', to know the answer. Admittedly when we all start out with music we find our favourite band or genre and its initial magnetic force is overwhelming, so overwhelming that should anyone question said choice we see it as bare faced blasphemy. However to not progress from this initial state is dangerous as we will become stale, boorish, uninspiring, we begin loose the buzz we once felt for music and like ... Read more / Preview track

Benjamin Damage – Shimmer (New Music) Its been a while, about 2 years to be precise, where have we been, do people care, why are we back, has anything changed? All valid questions, some of which I can answer, others I cannot. Truth is BBB didnt completely stop, but we did close everything down with the exception of the label. Sadly the last two years have been very traumatic personally and without wanting to drag you down I will say this; if you know anyone suffering from depression or anxiety dont ignore it, give them a call, drop them a message and let them know they mean something to you, I can't stress how important just this ...
