Dusky – Careless (Aus Music) Preview Whats everyone's thoughts on the proliferation of super clean house? When we say clean we mean, crisp production, succint vocal loop, and a catchy but not overly expressive bassline, the type that Dusky, George Fitzgerald, Julio Bashmore and Breach among others are all over. Naturally this type of production is nothing new, however it would appear that this sound, particularly in the UK has found itself a strange quasi underground status but in reality is actually quite commercial in sound, perhaps because a number of the artists mentioned originally built their foundations within the more ... New York Transit Authority – The Swarm EP (Preview) 'Its a Doozie', cant remember the last time we used that phrase, but it feels appropiate here. A few days ago we did our first ever post on NYTA regarding his upcoming Paleman collaboration 'Drone', and continuing in a similar vein is NYTA's latest solo project 'The Swarm EP' via Lobster Boy Records. Lead track 95 has already chocked up over 10,000 plays on Soundcloud and justifiably so with its irrepresible bassline and almost garage like percussion, but dont get confused this is not cliched Garage House, this is something else entirely, and we have to agree with Libray UK "95 is too much". ... Bicep remix Aster’s – Cielo (Preview) Bicep are on the flex again, this time with a double remix of Aster's - Cielo, apparently this remix has been in the pipeline for over a year, which in marketing terms works well for Aster, as in the last year Bicep have gone from crate digging bloggers, occasional DJs, to crate digging international DJs, culminating in closing the Space Terrace only last weekend. Bicep offer up two remixes both of which inject their characteristic retro looking flair, in this instance we get an 80/90's house hybrid. When we say 80's we dont mean Chicago House but more 80's movie soundtracks, in particular ... Read more / Preview track

Jacques Greene remixes Ciara (Free Download) Ciara seems a popular choice for sultry R&B flavoured remixes, first up we had Behling & Simpson with their takes on 'Like A Surgeon' and 'Goodies' and now Canadian born Jacques Greene steps into the fray with his energetic take on 'Sorry' and 'Body Party'. As with the Behling & Simpson reinterpretations the vocals largely stay intact whilst its surroundings are beefed up for optimum club use. These remixes will not appeal to the more minimal among you, however if you enjoyed Jacques Greene's recent single 'On Your Side' you have most likely downloaded these remixes before even ... Gold Panda – Community (Fort Romeau Remix) Preview Another week done and another begins as 2013 makes a bid for the fastest year we have ever experienced. Listening to Fort Romeau's remix of Gold Panada's Community has most certainly put me in a reflective mood this Monday afternoon, as it's exploratory tones bring to mind all the stresses, strains, sadness and excitement of a year that personally has been both highly forgettable and hugely inspiring. Community is one of those wonderful pieces of music you know was written with a considered purpose, as it's deliberate beat journey's alongside leisurely somber washes of sound, whilst ... Snow Ghosts – And The World Was Gone (Calibre Remix) Preview Not so long ago a BBB fan who we shall name 'Dave' for the purposes of this exercise informed us that he really enjoyed one of our recent shows despite us playing a few D&B tracks. In reality it was Cropper signed to BBB who played the D&B, and for us we really enjoyed the change up in tempo, and while Dave wasnt really having a go it did illustrate a reluctancy for some genre specific fans to spread their musical wings. This type of pigeon holed listening was particuarly prevalent during the Dubstep boom, where I lost count at the number of Dubstep fans who took considerable offence ... Read more / Preview track

New York Transit Authority & Paleman – Drones (Preview) Anyone who follows us on twitter has probably noticed that we tend to have the occasional moan about the shear quantity of limp wristed electronic music that tends to great us on a daily basis. However like anything you are truly passionate about those arduous hours are an essential pre-requesite if you truly want to succeed, for us success is previewing an upcoming release that firmly shakes you by the hand and demands your attention. In this case its a BBB firm favourite in Paleman, who you can catch at BBB Sept 14th, alongside someone we have been aware of but never actually featured ... Read more / Preview track
