Todd Terje – Essential Mix (July 2013) Download Todd Terje is perhaps most widely recognised for 2012's 'Inspector Norse', however he first came to our attention with the chugging dance floor weapon 'Ragysh', which earnt itself the number 5 spot in Resident Advisors Top 50 tracks of 2011. Ragysh actually marked a return to the music community after a 5 year hiatus for the Scandinavian, and since then, for want of a better cliché, he hasnt looked back. 'Inspector Norse' quickly followed with its summery melodic synth setting a warm twinkling thread for future records, such as Hot Chips - How Do You Do? remix and his most recent records ... Special Request aka Paul Woolford – Hardcore EP (Houndstooth) Paul Woolford is one of those acts who has been there or thereabouts for quite sometime without ever quite blowing up into a global phenomenon. This is not necassirily a bad thing as he has gone quietly about his business releasing a steady flow of strong club cuts that have kept him both relevant and respected for many years. There is no denying that Erotic Discourse (2006) has remained his biggest record to this day, and for good reason, it still sounds ping pong tastic. However enter July 2013 and it would appear Mr Woolford has decided to again make a bid for main floor dominance with his ... Read more / Preview track

Fantastic Mr Fox – The Trap (Preview) Fantastic Mr Fox is generally known for being quite a wiley cunning sort working a subversive existence, and having listened to the musical incarnation of Roald Dahl's much loved rogue you can most definitely draw parallels. Fantastic Mr Fox is far from conventional with his music, producing records that flirt and steal ideas from most genres of electronic music, whilst never quite finding an established home. This has certainly ensured that the Manchester based musician has established himself as a uniquely talented writer, however unlike such peers as SBTRKT he is yet to convert that sound ... FaltyDL – The Power (Swamp 81) Preview Go.......second track this year that gets all Moby - Go (Woodtick Remix) on us. First was Citizens sublime 90's homage 'Everything' and now FaltyDL has gone one step further making what we believe is direct use of the original Jocelyn Brown sample, something the FACT crew confirm in their preview of this upcoming record. If you missed the 90's first time round, either because you were born in the 90's, or the 90's are a jumbled mass of memories, then this record has the 'Power' to fill the gaps. As you can imagine the release date is something of an Urban Myth right now. ... Read more / Preview track

Is it possible to be too Underground? Is it possible to be too underground? Difficult question to answer, kind of wish I hadn’t proposed it to myself, but I’m committed now! In the last couple of years, particularly in the UK we have seen the emergence of Bass, some saw it as a healthy divergence from the rapid commercialisation of dubstep, and like dubstep a number of artists have used it, inadvertently or not, to establish their underground credentials and then go onto write generally more accessible bass tinged House music. Whether this was an intentional tactic is hard to know, however what has become very evident is ... Rudimental – Right Here (Krystal Klear Remix) 80's funky summer pop.....Rudimental is not an act we'd normally feature on BBB, however with the sun blazing, my skin reddening and the weekend rapidly approaching we must confess that a little 80's inspired roof down road trip type summer vibes is hard to resist, especially when Krystal Klear is on remix duty. Krystal Klear first nabbed our attention with his stunning mid 90's rave inspired 'More Attention'. If you like your beats tough, underground and a little gloomy this is very much not the release for you, however if you occasionally venture into the sun, get asked to put summery ...
