Move D – To The Disco 77 + Endian Remix (Electric Minds) Originating from Heidelberg Germany David Moufang has been writing and releasing electronic music since 1992 and his low slung warm celestial grooves have continued to strike a chord whatever the decade. Its probably fair to say that some of you reading this may be thinking, who's Move D, dont worry, but if you're serious about your House music we implore you to read on a little further as Move D's vast back catalogue deserves a good foraging. Those who do know can be smug in your well versed knowledge. We should clarify at this point that to say Move D is purely a House producer is a little ... Read more / Preview track

Daft Punk – Random Access Memories (New Album) Its official we have an album title and release date, thanks to itunes pre-order info and the highly alert Mixmag Team. The album will be called Random Access Memories or RAM, bit hoky, but who cares, it is Daft Punk after all. The album will have 13 tracks and is expected to drop May 20th via Daft Life Limited a subsidiary of Columbia. As to what the album is going to sound like is anyone's guess, however considering the much publicised Nile Rodgers hook up I think we can expect some metallic funk, oh and the odd loop. You can pre-order now via the following link: Pre-Order Daft Punk - ... Read more / Preview track

Julio Bashmore Vs Kowton – Mirror Song (Preview) Julio Bashmore has been making a bid for House super stardom in recent months, and that sentiment is very present on this latest collaboration with Kowton. You'd have to say that a vocal loop that tells us repeatedly "to look in the mirror" is unlikely to have come from Kowton's library of samples. You only have to listen to Kowton's recent collaboration with the Peverlist - Raw Code to know that he is more likely responsible for the tracks grubby and seedy underbelly. Mirror Song is another undoubetdly infectious house record that is going to get heavy rotation from all the main players, ... Read more / Preview track

Breach – Jack EP (Dirtybird) Review Dirtybird and Breach both had a sterling year in 2012, riding the crest of the house revival into 2013 with a major focus on bass. Their paths have aligned for Dirtybird's latest release and although 'Jack' fits neatly on Claude VonStroke's label it marks only the second original from Breach not to be released on his own Naked Naked imprint. 'Jack' keeps things super simple and effective. A synthetic vocal line and pitched shot eschew the current trend of wailing divas and 'deep' RnB samples. Skittering, bit crushed percussion provides a rickety framework for monumental throbs of bass that ... Read more / Preview track

Lorca – If I Told You (2020 Midnight Visions) Hot off the heals of his stylish 'Blacksmif - How The Fly Saved The River' remix Lorca breaks from his self imposed hibernation and prepares to follow up his highly regarded 2012 single 'Cant See Higher' with the 4 track 'If I Told You EP'. Unbelievably its been almost 12 months since 'Cant See Higher' lodged itself in our record boxes, and its a testament to Lorca's inate craftmanship that it has never left since. 'If I Told You' picks up the threads of those early haunting explorations and gently reminds us that not all club music needs to be about the phattest kick, bass, synth ... Read more / Preview track

Midland – Archive 01 (Preview) Its no secret we like Midland's music, having been born in Leicester may partly explain our strong affinity for the Midland sound, or it might be that he simply makes sublime house beats that never fail to drag us to the heaving dance floor from the sanctity of the DJ booth. Only last week Paleman and Dusky dropped 'Trace', and both times the guestlist que had to wait whilst I lost myself in its overwhelming energy, ignore the RA review 'Trace' is BIG, and 'Archive 01' is hot on its heals, judge for yourself below.... As yet no release date or full track listing has been confirmed, however ... Read more / Preview track
