Julio Bashmore has been crafting for a few years now, drawing plaudits from both the UK (Night Slugs) and abroad (Dirtybird), and now he is ready to launch his debut release on PMR Records. 'Everyone Needs a Theme Tune' is already on heavy rotation at BBB Towers and by all accounts it has been tearing up UK dance floors for weeks. However if the sample below and our clamouring enthusiasm is not enough to convince you, Julio has also enlisted the fantastic Midland and Ramadanman on remix duties......boom!
Cut Copy have just announced an European Tour and judging by the new single they wont be leaving the Vegemite sandwhiches back in Australia. Take Me Over is a great little pop record, but it does exhibit startling similarities to Men at Work's - Land Down Under, but we love it all the same.
This is something we have been sent a few links on, but not until Episode 3 did we decide to click play, admittedly because it mentioned Diplo in the title (apologies). However it proved an interesting watch as Diplo describes his love for all things Dancehall & Reggae and the process he uses to make music.
"Episode three turns the spotlight onto Diplo : one of the world’s most sought after producers (with the likes of M.I.A, Snoop Dogg and his own project Major Lazer on his CV) finally gets into the studio with his hero Lee Scratch Perry, culminating in the improvised collaboration between the two at Notting Hill Carnival".
If you dont know Joe & Will Ask then wrap your ears around their latest & unexpected release 'Clive Onion'. Clive Onion wasnt planned and is the result of some recent remix work, and for something that happened by accident its another great slice of Joe & Will proggy techno, and they are giving it away for FREE, see below.
Egyptrixx has been melodically rumbling the underground for the majority of 2010 and now the classically trained pianist is preparing to release his debut album 'Bible Eyes' in early 2011. Egyptrixx is not your conventional dance artist regurgitating formulaic structures and sounds, but rather an artist who takes elements from a variety of sources (house, techno, dubstep, electronica) and twists them into his own unique dissonant and melodic sounds. His music borders on chaotic, but never unravels as the strong melodies knit the elements together. His album is not out for a few months, however in the mean time you can grab his latest track 'Chrysalis Records feat. Trust' in full 320 from XLR8R.

This just popped into our inbox and while its not mid afternoon listening material, there is no doubt that Tony Senghore has crafted another peak time floor killer. Check below:
Kingdom, real name Ezra Rubin, formely of Massachusetts has been bubbling under since late 2009, and is someone who has been very much in our 'One's to Watch Catergory' since we got our hands on his fine L-Vis 1990 - United Groove and Egyptrixx - Everyone Bleeding remixes. Since then he has gone on to do a mixtape for Fact Magazine and release 'The Mystic EP' on the rapidly rising 'Night Slugs' imprint. Every track on 'The Mystic EP' is strongly recommended, with Fogs being our standout moment.
His WeAreBlahBlahBlah mix combines elements of techno, dubstep, and rave with post 3am moments and housey female vocals to create a distinctively unique dark and uplifting mix.
You can also catch Kingdom during the month of November as he embarks on a flying world tour, check tour dates below the tracklist:
Its no secret that we are massive Chromeo fans, and the Canadian duo have delivered again with a steaming HOT video for their next single 'Hot Mess'. Hot Mess is the lead track from their latest LP 'Business Casual' Check below for towels and girls:

We came across Rubix about a year ago with his 'Baiser Sur La Disco' track, which was a nice slice of french filtered Disco House. Since then he has done a number of remix's including Bart B More's - Romane on Sound Pellegrino and he has just released a collaborative track with Malente on Southern Fried - Afrikan Boogie. Afrikan Boogie fits snuggly into the Tropical Tech House catergory and for those of you into Round Table Knights, Made to Play, Riva Starr and the like should take a listen.
Rubix & Malente - Afrikan Boogie / Southern Fried
To help sweeten the deal Rubix has given us permission to give away his mash-up mix of Uffie's SUV and his Sur La Disco track:
1. AVH & Uffie vs. Rubix - Baiser Sur La Suv (Mashup)
My debut EP, Wrapped In Plastic, is released on Kill Em All Records on 22nd November and you can hear the whole thing here. Massive thanks to all the Blah Blah Blah Boys for their support over the past few years. Here's to many more!
Last month we got into a spot of bother for posting a few tracks that were not out / released in the month of October, therefore I better pre-empt the following five tracks. This months must have tracks are a mixture of cutting edge releases, recently found gems and tracks we are still playing out and deserve some chart recognition, please enjoy.
A few months ago Cut Copy gave away the excellent pre album teaser 'Where am I Going' and now we can confirm that the new album will be available world wide 8th February 2011. The follow up to 'In Ghost Colours' is titled 'Zonoscope' and comes with one of the finest album covers I have seen in a long time.
Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990's Night Slugs imprint has been at the forefront of pushing the musical boundaries of our dance floors for over a year now, with the likes of Egyptrixx, Girl Unit, Mosca, Kingdom and themselves all releasing standout EP's in recent times. To catergorise the 'Night Slugs' output seems a wasted effort as these boys evidently have no regard for boundaries as they meld disparate ideas from bassline, electro, dubstep, electronica, house and beyond.
Resident Advisor recently voted them label of the month and got them behind the decks to record an exclusive RA Podcast.

Here's a remix I made for ace new band Kisses. I really like the dream like feel of their records, which is why my remix is quite long as I wanted to retain this. It’s all based around super simple melodies and my obsession with one note basslines.

LA trio Human Life return with yet another handful of electro-pop glitter that combines heart felt vocals with a New Order / Eurythmics type bassline, live sounding percussion and a soaring main chorus that is sure to gather momentum with the synth-pop fans amongst you.
