Here are my club tracks of the year, the ones I have been playing to death in pretty much every set at Fabric and all over the place. I was lucky enough to play before some of my heroes this year: The Chemical Brothers, Tiga, Simian Mobile Disco, Erol Alkan, Boys Noize - so this is a reflection of that. I completely rediscovered my love of the 'warm up.' There were some amazing bangers in 2010 but I think it would be slightly misleading to include them here (although some of these are still pretty damn warm.) Try as I might, I couldn't get this list below 22 tracks.

NAPT - Exclusive Triple J Mixtape

Ivan Smagghe @ Fabric's 10th Birthday

For those who like the darker/deeper side of things, here's a mammoth three hour set from a personal hero, Ivan Smagghe. Well, a hero in certain respects :) It was recorded at Fabric's 10th birthday event in October. You should have seen some of the living dead wandering the streets of Farringdon that Monday morning! Sounds like it was worth it, though...

Essential Mix - The Twelves (December)

We have been fans of The Twelves for sometime and 2009 has been a great year for them with some big remix commissions and massive online blog success for their remixes / re-edits and excellent mix tapes, and now they have an Essential Mix to crown a solid 2009, only criticism would be that parts of the mix cover ground some of their previous mixes have already covered, that said if you like your music with a bit of funk, disco and a large slice of party then you shouldnt be disappointed.

Crookers feat. Soulwax & Mixhell - We Love Animals

2009 has been a strange year for the Crookers, they started the year as one of the most hotly tipped hyped acts, by the middle of the year just after the commercial release of their Day n Night Remix the hype had become commercial reality as they successfully crossed the underground chart divide.....and come the end of the year critics and fans alike were a bit bemused as to what the future held for the Crookers. The debut album was delayed and the singles "Put your Hands On Me" and "No Security" didnt seem to quite have the impact of previous work. However there is no denying their talent as both producers and DJ's and this latest collaboration is something to get excited about and restore the faith in any of you doubters out there, bring on the long player.
