Major Lazer – Essential Mix You all know probably know about Major Lazer by now so no need for a long intro on them. Diplo and Switch got together to record a truely schizophrenic mix for Radio 1's Essential Mix on Saturday. Taking an hour each Diplo starts things off with a few Dub and Raggae jams, before quickly descending into full Baltimore club territory. It's a good half an hour before we hear any Major Lazer's own work, but the mix builds nicely to all out club bangers with Switch taking over and keeping the tempo bouncing for the final hour. Loop Preview Brighton’s very own musical and digital arts festival Loop is nearly upon us and we’ve got a preview of some of the acts playing over the weekend as well as a run down of our LoopLate party at Digital. The latest news is that the outdoor stage has been pulled from this year’s festival due to the unreliable UK summer weather. It’s a bit of a shame, however don’t fret, the line-ups have been moved to the Dome Concert Hall, which is a great venue.
